A tribute to the pioneer of modern jazz guitar, Bill Frisell, featuring Tate Peterson and Dan Duval with Shao Way Wu (upright bass) and Ji Tanzer (drums). Join us for an evening of the music of Bill Frisell! Guitarists Tate Peterson (Resolectrics, Future Ensemble) and Dan Duval (Moon Music, Dub Orquestra) have curated two sets of Frisell's compositions. These selections range from Bill's seminal 1980's downtown NYC avant garde music, through his more accessible Americana melodies, and beyond. Frisell's music is deeply embedded in the DNA of modern jazz - especially for guitarists. Please join us and enjoy our discoveries and explorations. This will be the debut of this project, and will lead to a few presentations annually.
